Choose from these four workshops…
1. “The Irresistible Church” 2:00 pm or 3:30 pm
Jay Crouse, Coordinator of Men’s Ministry for the Diocese of SC and author of “Men and the Church: Is There a Future?”
What a difference 2000 years can make. Then, 12 spirit led men began sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and today there are 2.2 billion Christians. But, the question is: where are those men today? Join Jay Crouse, Coordinator of Men’s Ministry for the Diocese of S. Carolina and author of “Men and the Church: Is There a Future?” to explore this real church challenge and the irresistible options to overcome this challenge.
2. Mentoring: Are you being called to be a spiritual Father? 2:00 pm or 3:30 pm
Bud Carpenter, PriorityOne Ministry & Ramsey Gilchrist, Founder of M2 Ministry & Alston Middleton
The command of Jesus to go and make disciples is not in the least bit vague or ambiguous, but the Church, as Dallas Willard reminds us has opted to make converts instead of disciples. Join us on Friday afternoon and check out two outstanding mentoring programs that will empower you to realize the command of Jesus to go and make disciples.
3. Prayer Changes Things 2:00 pm or 3: 30 pm
Rhett Smith & Truman Kemp
In Ephesians Ch. 6 we see that we are all called to engage in some degree of spiritual warfare, and many of us feel unequipped for the battle. Come and learn how to pray for healing, and how to declare blessings that will be life changing for you and your family.
4. “Reflections on Addiction and Life in Christ” 2:00 pm or 3:30 pm
Ryan O’Farrell, Psy.D
While no workshop can pretend to work through all the different aspects of how the gospel relates to addictions, in this workshop we will explore some ways in which the good news of Jesus Christ impacts how we look at addictions and how Christ can lead us out of the slavery of addictions. Some of the topics that will be covered include:
-What is the relationship between worship and addiction?
-How does Christ’s righteousness open the door for freedom from an addiction?
-How do cycles of addiction relate to the Christian life?
-What role does the body of Christ (i.e., the Church) play in overcoming an addiction?
-What are some practical things the Bible points us to when seeking freedom from an addiction?
